Think Global Awards 2022

The fifth-year of Think Global Awards will open for entries from 1 September - 30 November 2021, featuring 16 unique award categories. This year, in particular, we wish to use the awards as an opportunity to acknowledge the individuals and companies who have successfully navigated the economic and social uncertainty brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic and the re-imagining of culture.

“If this past year has taught us anything, it is that we should celebrate even the smallest of wins and recognize those people and organizations who have continued to survive and thrive against a backdrop of global turmoil.” – Simon Hodgkins (Founder, Think Global Awards)

A recent article from McKinsey (August 4th, 2021) highlighted that uncertainty was rising even before the COVID-19 pandemic. Brexit, trade disputes, and decarbonization were already having a profound impact on many industries and regions. But, it was the pandemic that ushered in an era of shutdowns, hybrid work, and reversals. The pandemic led to a new era for businesses forcing them to change at pace and with agility.  Many organizations were forced to either adapt or become irrelevant.  And now, as we enter the latter part of 2021, we have also seen how organizations have increased their speed of decision-making and accelerated their technological advances.  Due to the pandemic, online shopping, electronic deliveries, digital payments, distance learning, and telehealth have all experienced growth and progress.

But, possibly the most significant change we have witnessed in the past eighteen months is the introduction of new and alternative ways of working together with new ways of engaging and collaborating with colleagues and customers.

Employers and employees grappled with enforced remote working against the challenge of retaining productivity and output.  A recent survey by Gallup found that approximately 50% of employees that are working from home say they would prefer to continue working remotely, and 60% of managers said they would allow employees to work remotely more often than they did before the pandemic.

Emerging from this seismic shift to remote and hybrid working, a considerable change in organizational culture has occurred. Employers and employees alike sought ways to retain operational excellence and efficiency while retaining the very essence of the organization – its culture and its people.

This year the Think Global Awards is focused on the theme of ‘Re-imagining Culture’ and will explore the various facets that enable organizations to retain their company culture in an ever-changing world.  Since its inception, the awards have attracted interest and entrants from Europe, the USA, Asia, and continues to see a growing number of entries each year. The awards program uniquely recognizes organizations and individuals who have excelled in areas such as digital transformation, professional services, life sciences, and many other areas. In light of the tumultuous year we have experienced, this year will also recognize people and organizations who have positively impacted those around them.

The Awards are open for entry from September 1, 2021.
